Out monthly swing dance series continues with JP McDermott and Western Bop. Nominated for two 2009 Wammies, J.P. McDermott & Western Bop are frequent guests at our Old Town Hall dances. JP McDermott plays songs by: Buddy Holly, Webb Pierce, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, and more, plus great original tunes in the same vein.
Tonight's intro dance lesson is Balboa, taught by local celebrities, Bob and Debbie Lew. Learn some of the Balboa basics of this quick, close partnered dance that grew out of the crowded dance floors in 1930s California.
